Guestbook Hi Ian - I'm linked to Chris Charlesworth and saw your link so took a peek. Really impressed with what your doing. Photography is all about 'seeing' and that's just what your street photography is about.

Hello Ian, I have just reached the end of my Level 1 course in digital photography and have only just found your page. Having looked at Adrian Beasley's advice on the workbook etc I realise that I have a lot more to do before I have in the final Portfolio etc. Really like the street photography - I have not done any b/w photography for many years and even then it was cost rather than choice as we could process it ourselves!!! Hope all goes well for your future plans and thanks for letting me see your photos.

Hi Ian, wow i googled myself to see what came up and found that you'd linked to my site - Nice one eh! I really like your website, its nice and simple which i think is the best way when it comes to photography! I started by doing a City and Guilds course too (levels 1 and 2), and that led onto a degree three years later. Love your reportage shots, i shot a lot of protests too during the Iraq war but havent got round to putting them on my website yet. I noticed youre looking at buying a digital SLR- i can definitely recommend a Canon 20d or 30d- they can be found for bargain prices, have high ISO speeds with very low noise. For reportage or general use I'd recomend a Sigma 18-50mm f/2.8 zoom for it, and maybe a Canon 50mm F/1.8 mk2- these are good priced, high quality lenses with fast apertures. If you need bargain price memory cards & batteries, look on www.7dayshop.com, no VAT to pay on items under £18, and free postage! Well enjoy, be lucky and get in touch if ya like. Cheers! :)
