Policing the Parade

Two days after a man attempted to blow up a restaurant in Exeter's Princesshay area, a visible police presence ensured Exeter City's open-top bus parade along the high street passed without incident

I was in Princesshay when the explosion occurred, and was a bit concerned about attending a public event so soon afterwards. But a lot of people turned out to cheer on the team, and there were no problems. (Exeter City were celebrating their promotion back into the football league.)
